Training Session on “Deduction of Income Tax and VAT at Source”

A training session on “Deduction of Income Tax and VAT at Source” was organized by Finance Section at the initiative of Internal Audit on 7 October 2017 in the seminar room of Business Administration Department, UAP. It was presided over by Mr. Ishfaq Ilahi Chowdhury, Treasurer, while Mr. Waliul Huq Khandker, Internal Auditor, moderated the session.

Mr. Mohammad Abdur Rab, Audit and Accounts Officer in the Bangladesh Audit Department and with a vast experience in this field, was the guest speaker. 25 officers, connected with accounts, purchase and procurement activities, attended the session. Mr. Rab explained in detail cases where Income Tax and VAT are applicable, common mistakes, penalties and precautionary measures to avoid penalties. The lecture was followed by question - answer session where there was enthusiastic participation from the trainees.

The Treasurer thanked Mr. Md. A. Rob for delivering the lecture and Mr. Waliul Huq Khandker for taking the initiative in organizing a timely and informative session.
